Meet One of Our Recruiters: Interview with Harmony Healthcare’s Andy Wolf

A new homeowner and a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Andy Wolf brings an amazing energy to the Harmony team. He’s well known for his style as well as his dedication to work inside of the office and to his girlfriend and their 2 French Bulldogs outside of the office.

Without further ado, here’s Andy in his own words.

What does a typical day look like for you here at Harmony?

My days at Harmony are constantly changing. Some days I may spend most of my time on the phone with prospective consultants. Other days I spend creating consultant presentations for our clients’ needs. No matter what, there’s always something that I need to accomplish, and that keeps things interesting.

Tell us something about yourself that may surprise us.

When I was younger, my grandmother wrote and published a children’s book about my father and me. You can actually buy it on Amazon. It’s called Andy and His Daddy.

I also used to play soccer in Italy for the Maryland Olympic Team when I was in high school. I played left back, and we got to travel around Italy playing against professional teams and the U17 Italian National Team.

How do you define success?

I think of success as being directly linked to your overall happiness with your life. For me, having a girlfriend who I love, financial stability, friends to hang out with, and being a dad to 2 adorable French Bulldogs leaves me feeling happy and successful.

Tell us a story from the weirdest job you’ve ever had.

When I was in 6th grade, I used to work at a primate sanctuary called Friskies. At the time, I thought it was the best job ever, but looking back on it I’m sure it was a little weird. The job was actually something we got to miss school for. I went to a Montessori school, and for 1 month instead of going to school, we got to work at a job of our choice. For me that included feeding the animals, giving them their medicine, and doing anything else the owner of the sanctuary asked of me.

My sister adopted a ferret the sanctuary had taken in. His name was Scooter, and he was quite the biter.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in the last 5 years?

Surround yourself with people who lift you up. When you do this, it empowers you to take chances and step outside your comfort zone. I think having the right support system around you allows you to become the best version of yourself.

Who is your favorite fictional character and why?

It would have to be Iron Man. He doesn’t actually have superpowers, but he still found a way to leave his mark on the world. That’s pretty awesome.

You can take one suitcase, $5,000, and one travel buddy. Where are you heading, who are you taking along for the ride, and why?

My girlfriend and I love to travel, so I’m pretty sure she’d disown me if I didn’t take her. We’ve always wanted to stay in one of those overwater bungalows in Bora Bora where you can walk right into the ocean from your room.
