Sera Yaroma

Meet Sera Yaroma, Harmony Healthcare Account Executive

1. What is one place in the world that you would want to travel to and why?

I would love to go to Croatia! I studied abroad in Italy during college, and a few of my friends made it over to Croatia for the weekend. They came back talking about how beautiful and fun the trip was, and ever since then I have had Croatia on the top of my list.

There is a lot of cool history there, and apparently it’s a great place to go whitewater rafting.

2. Tell us about your favorite ways to wind down after work.

Right after work, I always take my 3 year old husky Elsa to the dog park. If she doesn’t get to go to the park, she will be hyper all night, and I will never get to wind down after work!

Then I like to pour myself a glass of wine, watch Holiday Baking Championship on Hulu, and try to bake something I saw them make on the show.

3. What’s your idea of a perfect day?

My perfect day would start with getting breakfast at my favorite local spot. Breakfast is the best meal of the day, and I always look forward to Sunday mornings when I go out to get breakfast with my friends.

After that, I would love to spend the day relaxing by the pool or on a boat. I would end the day by hanging out with friends and watching sports – preferably football. (Go Bucs!)

4. Tell us about a moment that changed you.

A close friend of mine recently passed away from a very rare type of cancer. That definitely changed me; it changed my outlook on life, my attitude, and my ideas about a lot of things.

Though she was very sick, she was always extremely positive and happy. She taught me to be brave and strong and that no matter what situation life puts you in, it’s best to have a good attitude about it.

5. Create a soundtrack to your life with just 5 songs.

6. Tell us about a significant goal you have.

One of my goals is to visit all 50 states. I’ve been to 26 so far and have plans to go to 3 more within the year (depending on COVID).

Most recently, I went to Zion National Park in Utah. It was amazing and my first time on the west coast. Two of my friends and I hiked Angel’s Landing. It was probably the scariest thing I have ever done considering there were 1000 feet drops on both sides of me!

7. What do you value most about being on a team?

I love the collaboration that comes with being on a team. I ask a lot of questions and like getting second and third opinions on some things to gain different perspectives and new ideas.

8. Tell us about what kind of leader you aspire to be.

I’ve always liked this quote: “Train people well enough that they can leave, but treat them well enough that they won’t want to.” I think this is a great leadership motto. I aspire to be the type of leader that inspires people to be the best that they can be while teaching them how to reach their full potential.
