1. What’s on your wish list for the next 5 years?

There are so many things I want to achieve:

2. Tell us what keeps you motivated at work and at home.

Looking back and realizing how much I’ve done since I left Colombia is crazy and definitely an eye opener when I need some motivation. I want to make my parents proud, and I think that’s one of the things that keeps me going.

Taking advantage of my opportunities, working in my role here at Harmony with a team of people who make me laugh every day, and having my boyfriend in my life are blessings. To also have people back at home who are rooting for me is the best feeling. Overall, I’m a very lucky person and remembering all that keeps me motivated.

3. Describe success.

To me, success is to work very hard to be able to have the independence to do whatever you want in life. I think success takes time, patience, and a lot of learning along the way. It’s good to be able to look back and feel proud of yourself for working hard to accomplish your goals!

4. Who is your favorite artist and why?

That’s a hard question because there are so many artists I love. Growing up my absolute favorite was Shakira. I love her music, and she had to have a lot of perseverance to be successful. I admire that.

Right now my favorite is J Balvin. I think he is one of the most creative artists, and I love the way he represents Colombia. We struggle with our image, and he’s done a lot to help.

5. What are 3 lessons you’ve learned in the last year?

  1. Don’t take anything for granted!
  2. Be kind to yourself!
  3. Good things don’t come easy, but you can do anything you set your mind to!

6. Share a favorite memory from your teenage years.

I had an amazing time growing up with a group of friends who were also my neighbors. We were all very close and would hang out all the time.

I have a lot of very good memories with them, but I will never forget our road trips to Bogota to go to concerts, all the planning we had to do, how we had to convince our parents to let us go and how we had to make sure we were safe because Colombia is not the safest country. All that made it so exciting!

We also loved to dance like good Colombians. So we would throw parties and have people come over or we would try to go to the clubs, which was always an adventure.

We loved to just hang out by the pool, listen to music, and think of cool things to do to keep ourselves entertained. Life seemed less complicated, and we were all just trying to have a good time. I love those memories!

7. What does gratitude mean to you?

Gratitude to me means living a life where I focus all of my energy on all the things that I feel thankful for and I appreciate. Even if I come across a bad situation, I have faith that I will learn from it, and I’m thankful for that.

Having gratitude to me is a super powerful feeling that helps me stay positive and have faith in God that He will always show me in the right direction. Gratitude is also associated with greater happiness, so gratitude to me means happiness.
