Katie McLaughlin — Vice President, Clinical Solutions
Katie is a Vice President, Clinical Solutions and leads the design and strategic growth of best practice solutions that support clinical operations, technology and provider workflows. As a certified Epic builder with deep knowledge of regulatory guidelines, she designed and built an Outpatient (OP) Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) program within a large Primary Care organization including custom designed initiatives in prospective chart review and point of care alerts. Across the health system, she established HCC coding and documentation excellence among Primary Care providers, the CDI team, and coders.
Prior to her OP CDI leadership, she spent 10+ years in patient care managing chronic diseases with an emphasis on quality of life and healthy aging. Katie’s clinical experience paired with Risk Adjustment industry knowledge allows her to support providers with tools and workflows that drive accuracy and create efficiencies while improving patient outcomes.

Katie’s professional experience and recognition includes:
- Spearheaded coding and documentation policies and procedures as an early adopter of Outpatient CDI beginning in 2017
- Designed CDI solutions for pre-visit workflows for value-based care and accountable care visits
- Customized EHR alerts, registries, reports and templates specific to Population Health programs
- Led the development and delivery of Risk Adjustment training content and education to 300+ providers
- Served as a Clinical Advisor in Utilization Review, Primary Care Preventative workgroups and Care Management projects
- Bridged the gap between clinicians and coders by providing peer to peer training on industry changes
- Oversaw the addition of dedicated Medicare Wellness Clinics within the Primary Care setting that led to significant improvements in diagnosis capture, quality metric closures and health plan compliance

Ryan is a healthcare leader with a strong clinical background and deep expertise in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI). As Manager of Outpatient Clinical Solutions, she supports training, technology optimization, and operational improvements across new and existing programs. She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of outpatient CDI programs in Primary Care, including custom workflows for prospective chart reviews and point-of-care alerts. Her work has elevated HCC coding and documentation integrity practices across providers, CDI teams, and coders. With over a decade of experience in chronic disease management and optimizing health outcomes in complex aging populations, Ryan brings a unique blend of clinical insight and risk adjustment knowledge to develop tools and workflows that enhance documentation accuracy, provider efficiency, and patient outcomes.
